Meet Mandy: Certified Holistic Recovery Coach, Professional Astrologer, Healer
CPRC, SRCD
Â
At the onset of the pandemic, I was a frightened, single mom (okay, letâs be realâI was an alcoholic đ ). Instead of hoarding toilet paper, I stockpiled alcohol, and unsurprisingly, life became even messier than it already was. It took me an embarrassingly long time to realize, âIâm nearing 40; this isnât cute anymore.â After a volatile 21-year drinking career, I finally decided it was time to stop for good. And yes, it took more than one attempt to break free from the demon grip alcohol had on my soul.
For the first time, I soberly looked deep inside myself and began addressing the mountain of unresolved trauma that was easy to ignore when I was constantly wasted. Traditional AA just didnât resonate with me, so I forged my own unique path to sobriety. Let me be clearâIâm not saying AA is bad or that you should avoid it, but I firmly believe itâs not the only way to break the cycle. My goal is to give others access to the resources and knowledge I wish I had sooner, the ones that ultimately worked for me. Iâm here todayâalive and thriving more than everâso let me help you too, no 12-step program required.
When I got sober, life truly opened up for me. I had more time, better health, and most surprisingly, I found myself surrounded by more friends than ever because, SHOCKER! People liked Sober Mandy even more than Drunk Mandy. Who wouldâve thought?
After years of false starts, setbacks, and tough moments in my recovery journeyâfrom alcohol abuse, drugs, CPTSD, trauma, codependency, anxiety, depression, grief, burnout, ultra-independence, perfectionism, and various forms of abuse and food-related issuesâI reached a turning point. I realized I couldnât keep dwelling on sobriety as if it were a burden. Like I said, AA wasnât the right fit for me, so I reclaimed my power by rediscovering the passions that called to me as a kidâthings I had set aside in favor of appearing "cool" and fitting in. Iâd made many mistakes over 21 years of drinking, but I learned that there is always hope, and itâs never too late to start healing and doing right by yourself.
It brings me immense joy to share my knowledge and expertise as a Certified Holistic Recovery Coach with others who are also seeking to overcome their challenges. In my practice, I use spiritual modalities such as astrology, Reiki, tarot, oracle cards, crystals, journaling, meditation, and my own damn powerful intuition to help my clients release their past and embrace the present with love, hope, and purpose.
My ultimate goal is to provide personalized coaching sessions grounded in compassion, empathy, and healthy-mindedness. I aim to help my clients not only overcome their struggles but also create a brighter, more fulfilling future for themselves. Being a hot mess ain't cute, Girl. We just don't do that anymore, okay?
